LKD PRO dynamic compensator
LKD PRO dynamic compensators (Static Var Generators) are innovative devices designed to compensate inductive and capacitive reactive power. They are distinguished by an additional distortion power compensation function. It is a solution, which gives the possibility of low-loss reactive power compensation as well as compensation of selected harmonic components.
Traditional capacitive reactive power compensation systems designed with single- or three-phase shunt reactors are controlled by reactive power regulators. These solutions are less and less popular due to numerous limitations. We take into account high own losses of the compensation systems, ranging from 50 to 80 W per 1 kvar, long response times (fast-changing loads), network impedance changes and the need to maintain cosφ on the induction side, which is associated with additional losses.
Dynamic compensators (Static Var Generators) fully replace conventional capacitor banks and shunt banks, while raising the standard of operation by filtering higher harmonics. When using LKD compensators, the user gains a significant reduction in the compensation system's own losses. And due to the filtering higher harmonics, the apparent power is reduced, which translates directly into even higher reduction of electricity bills.
The dynamic compensator (Static Var Generators) has infinitely variable compensation of reactive power and distortion power. The own losses of the device have been minimised to 17 W per 1 kvar. It is possible to effectively reduce network distortions to the 25th harmonic and provide active compensation of reactive power along with network load balancing.
