LH thyristor connectors
Switching on single-phase and three-phase power capacitors
To meet the needs of the market and the issues appearing in an increasing number of reactive power compensation systems, we have designed an LH thyristor connector.
The connector is dedicated to switching on power capacitors, which due to its operation gain significantly extended service life. The capacitors are switched on with zero potential difference between the network and the capacitor. As a result, in-rush current is equal to the rated current. It reduces the current surge phenomenon and secures against a voltage drop in the network caused by high in-rush current of charging the capacitors.
Contrary to the conventional contactors, where chattering and thus system failure or even fire may occur, the LH thyristor connectors are resistant to partial input voltage dips.
Thyristor connectors ensure dynamic compensation and stable operation of the system, thus significantly increase its service life. They are adapted to work with the most controllers available on the market.
